Welcome to the Beta Theta Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon, located at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN.
The Beta Theta chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon was installed on May 29, 1966. There are 13 provinces of Mu Phi Epsilon and the Beta Theta chapter is in the East Central Province. Mu Phi Epsilon is made of 32 districts and the Beta Theta Chapter is in district East Central 2.
The History of Mu Phi Epsilon
Mu Phi Epsilon is a international fraternity that was started on Nov. 13, 1903 by Elizabeth Mathias Fuqua and Winthrop S. Sterling at the Metropolitan College of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mu Phi Epsilon was started to develop women bound together in friendship through their common interest in music. In 1962 with the installation of a chapter at the Philippine Women's University, Mu Phi Epsilon became international. In 1977 Mu Phi Epsilon became a coeducational fraternity. Today there are 136 collegiate chapters of Mu Phi Epsilon and 74 alumni chapters of Mu Phi Epsilon.
