Philanthropy

The Kappa Mu Chapters Philanthropy is Multiple Sclerosis.

Anarchy in April is the chapter’s annual philanthropic event to benefit Multiple Sclerosis. With everyone’s hard work and the support of all the TTU Greeks we were able to donate almost $2000 last year to support research for MS.

This year we are again doing our famous Cow Drop event to raise money for the MS foundation. It will be held April 19th and the cow will be released at 1pm. You do not have to be present to win. Tickets are 5 dollars a piece. When the cow "drops" in a square, judges will determine the winner. There will be a $1000 grand prize as well as many door prizes given out. Please see any brother or contact the chapter house (931-526-2810) to purchase tickets.

Relay for Life

Last year, we participated in the first annual relay for life event here at Tennessee Tech and it was a huge success. We are again participating in the event this year. Our goal is to raise as much money as we can for the American Cancer Association. If you have lost a loved one or know of some one who has lost their life or who is a survivor of this disease and would like to contribute in anyway to this cause please follow the highlighted link to our Relay for Life team page. Kappa Mu Chapter Community Service

Kappa Mu is very involved in community service. We have done countless activities over the past year. Area’s where have helped make a difference range include volunteering at the local Goodwill, picking up trash along the stretch of highway we have adopted in town and sponsoring a relay for life team.

Total Community Service Hours: Last year we logged well over 1000 hours.

Recently, we participated in an event called Take Back the Night here at TTU. The event was held to raise awareness about domestic violence around the world. Below is a picture take just before we began the march around campus.
