FACE Award
At the 2008 Leadership Conference the Kappa Mu chapter was awarded the Founders Award of Chapter Excellence. There are many qualifications that must be met to receive this award. Some of these are:
·50+ members or #1 on campus in total membership
·No Code of Conduct violations with Kappa Sigma or School during academic year
·Chapter remained current on all financial obligation for the entire academic
·Chapter has two or more brothers registered and in attendance at 2008 Leadership Conferen
·72% of members currently hold one or more Certificates of Ritual Proficiency
·Chapter GPA Above All Men’s Average
·25 or more service hours per member (brothers and pledges) during academic year
·$25 or more raised per member, during academic year, to benefit a charitable organization(s)
·Chapter contributed to Fallen Heroes Campaign
The Kappa Mu Chapter was really honored to receive this award as not many are handed out. We continue to strive for excellence everyday.
Ritual Proficiency
The Kappa Mu chapter continues to raise the bar within the Kappa Sigma Fraternity for ritual proficiency. Currently, we have 4 undergraduate Masters as well as Alumni Masters. Everyday we strive to reach the 100% proficient mark, and we are very close to reaching this goal.
Action Chapter
Recently, the Kappa Mu chapter was awarded with the Kappa Sigma Fraternity Action Chapter award. This means that the Kappa Mu chapter has demonstrated that they are committed to the 4 pillars of Kappa Sigma.
