Chapter Message
Welcome to the Kappa Mu chapter of Kappa Sigma! We are located on the sprawling and luxurious campus of Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee at 525 North Walnut Avenue, located behind the nursing building. There are always things going on at the Fraternity house and I personally encourage you to stop by and check us out. Our doors are always open and we would love to meet and get to know you. I encourage you to look through our website and see all the different events we are involved in. We hold many philanthropic events such as our annual 5K Run/Walk which we raised more than $2,000 for the Tennessee Marine Family last semester. We logged more than 2,000 hours last year and raised more than $4,000 for various charities.
Formal Rush is September 12-15th. We have many great pre rush and rush events scheduled- be sure to check out the Rush link to the left of the page. Our annual South Seas philanthropy benefitting the Military Heroes Campaign is right around the corner. We will be raising money through many different events on the September 19-22nd. I would like to thank all alumni who made it out to our annual golf tournament/summer gathering this past June. It was a great time for fellowship and a good fundraiser for the scholarship fund (most money ever raised!). Congratulations to Team Tidwell for reigning supreme once again.
We are very proud to have been a nationally recognized chapter this past year. At Kappa
Sigma’s Grand Conclave in Las Vegas in July we were recognized as the 2nd most improved rush
chapter in the entire nation as well as being 1 of only 13 chapters to receive the Founders Award
for Chapter Excellence. The success we enjoyed last year, in addition to all of the outstanding
new members we acquired, has carried plenty of momentum in the 2011-2012 school year. In
2011-2012 we will strive to have the greatest year that we have ever seen on this campus and
raise the bar once more. We are very proud of our accomplishments and the strides we have
taken over the past couple years. We take great pride in the strength of our chapter and look
forward to continuing the Kappa Sigma traditions on the Tennessee Tech campus. Stop by

The Four Pillars:
Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship and Service are the four pillars that the Kappa Sigma Fraternity is based on. The Kappa Mu Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity is a strong believer in these four pillars live by these on a daily basis.
