PHILANTHROPY

National Kappa Delta has four philanthropies: the Orthopedic Awards, Girl Scouts of America, Children's Hospital in Richmond, VA, and Prevent Child Abuse America.  The Delta Upsilon chapter of Kappa Delta supports all four of these philanthropies. 

Each March we hold our annual Shamrock Project where fellow collegiate help us raise money for our state chapter of Prevent Child Abuse and Prevent Child Abuse America. Activities during our Shamrock Project have included a golf tournament, See-Saw-A-Thon, War of the Wings, and Battle of the Bands.

We have adopted a local Girl Scout troop and help out their troop leader by assisting the Scouts in earning badges and making crafts.  In February, we hold a Ladybug Tea for local Daisy Scouts.
